Chapter 32: Strange Noise

Jenny got into the limo and rode home with her siblings.
She ran up to her room and her puppy Lillianna, a white West Highlander, was by the door waiting for her.
“Aww, LIllianna! You are sooo adorable!” Jenny said picking her up.
Jenny went downstairs and brought her new music for her band to opractice on the grand piano in her living room.
“That was really pretty, Jenny!”
“Who is that?” Jenny asked, puzzled.
“It’s me!”
“Who? Where are you?” Jenny said, looking around.
“Me! Silly, you!”
“I’m sorry, who are YOU?!” Jenny said, standing up, looking around. Suddenly Jenny heard something tapping.
“Hello?” Jenny asked.
“Jenny!” Jenny’s mom yelled.
“What?”
“Could you come here a minute?”
“Coming,” Jenny said, slowly walking up the stairs, looking around for the mystery person.
“Did you hear something, Mom?” Jenny asked.
“No, only you playing piano.”
“That’s weird…” Jenny said biting her lip, “I could have sworn…”
“Can you bring this dress downstairs to the maid to be dry cleaned?”
“Sure,” Jenny said, grabbing the dress and walking down the stairs. She turned around and said, “Are you going to be home Sunday afternoon? Because my friends are coming over.”
“No, I can book Daddy and I to a casino in Las Vegas that day,” she said.
“Okay, thanks, Mom!” Jenny said as she rushed the dress to the maid.
The maid was washing the counter.
“Did you hear anything while I was playing piano?” Jenny asked.
“No, I didn’t, were you calling me?”
‘No, I heard something; I was wondering if you heard it.”
“No, sorry,” she said.
“It’s okay, my mom wants you to get her dress dry cleaned for her,” Jenny said.
“Okay,” the maid said then walked away.
“Hey, over here!”
“What who are you?” Jenny called out.
“It’s ME!”
“Ugh! WHO ARE YOU?!”
“Ugh! It’s Bren!” Bren said laughing as he came out from behind a large piece of furniture.
“You freaked me out! It isn’t funny!”
“Yes it was…” he laughed, “But now I”m done.”
“Good,” Jenny said, “Sometimes guys are sooo immature!” she said to herself and walked away.
Jenny ate supper and watched TV, then went to bed.

“Is it morning already?” Jenny thought, “Woah! It’s already past my manicure! I better get ready!”
Jenny took a shower, got dressed, did her make-up and hair, and went to the salon for her manicure.
When she got to the salon door, she saw a sign.
“What?!” Jenny said to her butler who was standing by the limo.
“Yes, Ma’am?”
“The sign says it’s closed due to a tragic accident!” Jenny said with worry in her voice.
