Chapter 26: Decision Time

“Let’s get started!” Erin said excitedly once they had all sat down comfortably.
Then nurse walked into the room and said, “Good morning girls, you keep Megan company while I do some work.”
The girls started brainstorming.
“Okay, last night, on the internet I found this awesome website that lets you make costume designs!” Sophie said.
“Awesome!” Jenny said.
“I’ve come up with a few color suggestions and I played around with my own ideas. Here are some printed ones I thought were okay to consider,” Sophie said pulling two pieces of paper from her folder, “Here they are…We can all have the same color outfits on, not the exact same thing though, we don’t need it dorky!”
“Those are cute!” Megan said, smiling.
“Yeah, the colors we’ll have to take a vote on, but otherwise they’re really awesome!” Jenny said.
“Well, I’ve been working on some lyrics to music.” Erin said. “It’s called “Dream a Little Dream”, here are the words:

“Wow! You’ve really got a talent with lyrics!” Sophie said.
“I LOVE it!” Megan exclaimed encouragingly.
“Alright girls, I’m almost finished.” the nurse said.
“Okay.”
“What have you been working on, Jenny?” Erin asked.
“Well, I wasn’t sure what I should do, so I kind of did a drawing of a CD cover.”
“Sweet! Can we see it?” Megan asked.
“Sure,” Jenny said, pulling a folded piece of paper from her pocket.
“Wow! You are amazing at drawing!” Sophie said.
“Thanks,” Jenny said.
“Megan, what were you working on?” Erin asked as she jotted a few things down in her notebook.
“Well, I have been practicing some chords, and I’ve come up with a tune, maybe you can make up words!” Megan said.
“All done,” said the nurse, “Megan should probably get a little sleep before lunch, so you can say ‘good-bye’ and go back to school.”
“Could we eat at the hospital?” Sophie asked.
“If it’s okay with your principal,” The nurse answered.
“Okay, let’s go ask him.”
The girls went to their principal who was on his cell-phone.
“-Make sure she’s there at 12 o’clock SHARP!!! If I’m not there by then, wait a few minutes, and if I still don’t show up, fire her.”
“Principal Lockette?” Jenny asked.
“Yes?”
“Well, the girls and I were wondering if, maybe we could eat here for lunch and not eat at school.” Sophie said.
“I don’t see any problem with that,” he said, “just make sure you don’t mess around, this is a hospital you know…”
“Thanks.”
The girls ran off and something terrible happened while they were eating…
